Lilith could smell the foul beast’s sulfur breath, as it crawled around, only a few paces away. The heat, emanating from the drake, warmed her face. When the black scales reflected the sunlight, they seemed to glow. She knew she could defeat the beast; it was only a young drake. Still, she had to be careful: the beast could turn around and spit fire at any moment. She would be roasted alive; by the time anyone would find her, she would surely be nothing more than a charred skeleton.
